We’re working with a specialist marine contractor delivering complex marine and coastal infrastructure projects. They are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their Commercial team. This is a senior-level position with responsibility for the commercial, financial, and contractual performance of multiple high-value projects. You’ll play a key role in cost control, procurement strategy, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, while also mentoring junior surveyors and contributing to wider commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial management across multiple marine infrastructure projects
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, CVRs, and cash flow
- Oversee contract administration, variations, claims, and final accounts
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, driving value engineering and cost efficiencies
- Manage procurement strategies and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
- Provide P&L reporting and financial performance updates to senior leadership
- Support and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors
- Build strong working relationships with clients, project teams, and supply chain partners
- Ensure compliance with contractual, financial, and HSE requirements
About You
- Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role
- Strong background in marine infrastructure, civil engineering, or heavy construction
- Excellent knowledge of contract administration and commercial risk management
- Confident managing high-value contracts and complex negotiations
- Strong leadership and mentoring capability
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (professional accreditation desirable)
- Comfortable travelling to sites as required
