Job description

  • Site Manager – Retail Supermarket
  • Location: Linthorpe Duration: 8 months Rate: £280–£300 per day Start: Immediate / ASAP

Sphere Solutions are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of a retail supermarket project in Linthorpe, taking the project from groundworks through to completion.

The successful Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the site, coordinating subcontractors and trades, maintaining health and safety standards and ensuring the project is delivered on programme and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

  • Full day-to-day management of the site from groundworks through to completion.
  • Coordinating subcontractors, trades and site labour.
  • Managing site programmes and ensuring works remain on schedule.
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety across the site.
  • Carrying out inductions, toolbox talks and regular site inspections.
  • Liaising with the client, subcontractors and project team.
  • Managing site paperwork, RAMS and daily reports.
  • Monitoring quality of works and ensuring specifications are met.
  • Identifying and resolving any issues that may impact the programme.
  • Ensuring the site is kept organised, safe and compliant throughout the project.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction.
  • Previous experience delivering retail, supermarket or commercial projects.
  • Experience managing projects from groundworks through to completion.
  • Strong subcontractor and programme management skills.
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the site.
