Date posted: 8 January 2026 Pay: £400.00 per day Location: Bristol Job Type: Contract / Temporary (with ongoing work available) Project Duration: 4 months initially Start Date: ASAP Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our team on an active school project with approximately 4 months remaining. This role offers an excellent opportunity for ongoing work beyond the initial project, with future projects already planned. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing the mechanical package, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities * Manage and oversee all mechanical works on a live school project * Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers * Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and specifications * Liaise closely with the main contractor, client, consultants, and design team * Monitor progress and provide regular reports * Manage procurement of materials and plant * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site procedures * Oversee quality control and commissioning of mechanical services Requirements * Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager * Strong background in building services/mechanical installations * Experience working on school or education projects preferred * Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and site teams * Strong communication and organisational skills * SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred What We Offer * Immediate start on a live project * 4-month contract with further work available upon completion * Competitive day rate or salary, depending on experience * Opportunity to work with a growing company on future projects Work Location: In person
