An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Framework Director to join one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure businesses. This is a high-profile senior leadership appointment responsible for driving growth, strengthening strategic client relationships, and securing major opportunities across healthcare and public sector frameworks throughout the UK.
Working closely with executive leadership teams, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the organisation's healthcare framework strategy, developing long-term partnerships with NHS Trusts, Integrated Care Systems (ICSs), framework authorities and wider healthcare stakeholders. The role can be based anywhere in the UK, operating on a hybrid basis with occasional travel to the Bristol office and client locations nationwide.
The Opportunity
As Framework Director, you will lead the strategic development and management of healthcare framework relationships, ensuring early engagement with key clients and stakeholders to maximise pipeline opportunities and framework performance. You will act as a trusted advisor to healthcare organisations, helping shape future capital investment programmes, estate strategies, sustainability initiatives and infrastructure development plans. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence some of the UK's most significant healthcare construction and infrastructure projects while contributing to the delivery of modern, sustainable healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the organisation's healthcare framework growth strategy across the UK.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with NHS Trusts, ICSs, framework authorities, healthcare providers and public sector clients.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within healthcare infrastructure and capital investment programmes.
- Lead framework engagement activities, ensuring strong client alignment and long-term partnership development.
- Position the business at the earliest stages of healthcare estate and infrastructure planning.
- Collaborate with operational, pre-construction, bid and delivery teams to maximise framework success.
- Drive strategic account management activities across key healthcare clients.
- Promote integrated solutions across construction, engineering, sustainability, digital infrastructure, facilities management and lifecycle services.
- Provide market intelligence and sector insights to support business planning and investment decisions.
- Support executive-level engagement with healthcare boards, senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Champion sustainability, social value and innovation within healthcare construction projects.
About You
We are seeking an experienced senior leader with a proven track record of developing client relationships, winning work and delivering growth within healthcare construction, infrastructure or major public sector frameworks. You will demonstrate:
- Significant experience in a Framework Director, Business Development Director, Client Director, Account Director or Strategic Growth role.
- Strong understanding of NHS procurement routes, healthcare frameworks and public sector construction.
- Proven ability to engage and influence C-suite stakeholders and executive decision-makers.
- Experience developing strategic business plans and growth initiatives.
- Strong commercial awareness and opportunity management skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and framework delivery models.
- Understanding of healthcare estate challenges, capital investment programmes and sustainability objectives.
- Degree qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience using CRM systems, ideally Dynamics 365.
