Location: Exeter – Hybrid working

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £55,000–£70,000

Responsibilities

  • Manage the design of infrastructure and groundwork packages for residential developments.
  • Arrange and manage service enquiries for new developments, ensuring timely payments for required utilities.
  • Oversee designs produced by external consulting engineers, covering foundations, estate roads, sewers and Section 38, 104 and 278 works.
  • Secure and manage adoption agreements (S38, S104, S278), ensuring bonds are set up, reduced and closed on time.
  • Input into structural designs for superstructure elements.
  • Review consultant designs to ensure value engineering, accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Work closely with the Technical Team and wider business to support the discharge of planning conditions and building regulations.

  • Experience in a similar role with a housing developer.
  • Strong knowledge of estate road and sewer construction & inspection.
  • Understanding of Highway and Water Industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Construction related qualifications (Degree / HND / HNC) desirable.
