Environmental & Sustainability Manager – Major Construction Project (Newport) We are seeking an experienced Environmental & Sustainability Manager to take a lead role on a landmark data centre construction project in Newport. This is a long-term opportunity (c. 3 years) to be part of one of the most high-profile builds in the region, offering excellent career prospects and an attractive package. The Role As the project’s Environmental & Sustainability Manager, you will be the lead on site for all matters relating to environmental compliance, sustainability strategy, and best practice implementation. Working closely with the wider project team, you will ensure that environmental standards are met, sustainability objectives are delivered, and the project leaves a positive legacy. Key Responsibilities: * Lead environmental and sustainability activities on site, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, and client requirements. * Develop and implement site-specific sustainability plans in line with corporate and project goals. * Monitor environmental performance, carry out audits, and provide regular reporting to project leadership. * Engage with subcontractors and stakeholders to drive best practice in environmental management. * Advise on waste reduction, carbon management, and sustainable construction methods. * Act as the key point of contact for all environmental and sustainability matters on site. About You: * Proven experience in an Environmental and/or Sustainability Manager role within the construction industry. * Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, ISO standards, and sustainability frameworks. * Track record of successfully delivering on large-scale or complex construction projects. * Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. * Prepared to be based on site in Newport for the duration of this major project (approx. 3 years).
