A leading international construction contractor is seeking an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to join the team delivering a landmark residential development in Dorchester. What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the Site Management team with the day-to-day running of site operations
  • Assisting in the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers and site activities across the project
  • Monitoring works to ensure programme, quality and safety standards are achieved
  • Promoting and maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance on site
  • Assisting with site inspections, quality checks and progress reporting
  • Supporting site logistics, deliveries and workforce coordination activities
  • Helping to manage project documentation, permits and site records
  • Monitoring workmanship and ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications
  • Supporting subcontractor meetings and communication across site teams
  • Assisting with commissioning, snagging and handover activities

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Trainee Site Manager role within construction
  • Experience working for a main contractor is preferred
  • Housing project experience desirable
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced construction environment
