Sphere Solutions are looking to recruit an Environmental Advisor for their client who is based locally to Plymouth and looking to strengthen their Environmental team where you will be working alongside the Environmental Technician and reporting to Senior Environmental Advisor. The role will mostly focus on the sites permits, maintaining the legal compliance via the implementation of an ISO14001 environmental management system and report writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold professional standards and environmental best practices on site
- Work with the Senior Environmental Advisor to ensure legal and planning compliance
- Manage site environmental permits, compliance reporting, and internal audits
- Support communications with regulators and external stakeholders
- Assist with environmental sampling, testing, and data analysis
Requirements:
- An environmental or related discipline degree
- Knowledge and understanding of ‘regulated facilities’ that are covered by the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016
- Knowledge and experience of maintaining legal compliance via the implementation of an ISO14001 environmental management system
- Full driving license
- Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions doing manual work
- Project management experience (Desirable)
- Ecological experience (Desirable)
This is a full-time, office and site based position. Due to the office being located on a live site, all employees are required to complete a Drugs and Alcohol test.
