I am searching for a Contract Manager to join an award winning independent regional contractor, to oversee new build projects up to £15million. You will join a highly skilled and dedicated team carrying out works across multiple sectors – Commercial, Education, Industrial, Community/Leisure & Healthcare.

As a roving Contract Manager, responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting to the Senior Management Team to make them aware of any issues that need attention.
  • Lead and resource site-based teams, ensuring all sites are meeting health & safety regulations and implementing training if it is not.
  • Maintain financial performance of each project with overall responsibility for all site-based work and its productivity.
  • Direct and supervise activity of the workforce, including all subcontractors, to ensure works are completed on time, to the desired quality standards and within budget.

Essential criteria:

  • Must have significant experience working as a Contract or Senior Project Manager with a proven background of delivering projects in excess of £10m.
  • SMSTS, First Aid at Work & CSCS is essential, NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management is preferred.
  • Must be a natural problem solver with the ability to lead by example.
  • Must live within a commutable distance of Exeter, covering sites in Somerset and North Devon.
