About the Role

My client is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to be the no.2 to the PM of a £8m leisure centre refurbishment project in Coventry. This is a pivotal role overseeing daily site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Following this project, the successful candidate will continue as a key Site Manager within the business, delivering future schemes primarily located in the Oxford area—therefore, applicants must be based within reasonable commuting distance of Oxford.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the construction site.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Ensure strict adherence to programme, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
  • Maintain site documentation, reporting, and client communication.
  • Oversee site logistics, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Drive a positive safety culture and maintain high professional standards on site.

Requirements
