Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of prestigious construction projects in the Cornwall region? We are working with a well-established and growing construction contractor to recruit an Experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of a portfolio of high-end schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive business with a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the South West.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of at least 2 projects concurrently
- Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow
- Oversee procurement activities and subcontractor appointments
- Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements and contract documentation
- Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Produce accurate monthly cost and value reports for senior management
- Prepare and submit applications for payment in line with contract requirements
- Monitor and manage change control procedures
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies where necessary
- Support project delivery teams to achieve programme and financial objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
