We are working with a well-established contractor who are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team, specialising in groundworks projects across the South West. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a proven background in estimating within the construction and/or civil engineering sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing accurate cost estimates for groundworks and civil engineering projects
- Analysing drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive and accurate tenders
- Supporting the commercial and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Estimator – it would be advantageous to have worked within groundworks, civil engineering, or developing.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry regulations
- Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in estimating software and MS Office / COINS
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to deadlines
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
