Role Overview
The Commercial Administrator plays a key role in supporting project and commercial teams, helping to drive efficient project delivery from start to finish. The position blends commercial, financial, and administrative duties, covering procurement, cost control, documentation, and coordination. Weβre looking for someone highly organised, detail-driven, and confident in liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams alike.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Financial Support
*
Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders and subcontractor orders in line with company procedures.
*
Assist with budgets, forecasts, cashflow, and cost monitoring.
*
Support client applications for payment, valuations, and final accounts.
*
Monitor project costs, flag variances, and contribute to management reporting.
*
Obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations, proposals, and procurement information.
*
Maintain accurate financial records and assist with commercial reporting.
Project Administration & Coordination
*
Create and manage project files on SharePoint and other systems, keeping documentation well-structured and accessible.
*
Upload drawings, specifications, and project documents.
*
Assist Project Managers with reports, programmes, and presentations.
*
Organise site visits, client meetings, inspections, and other project activities.
*
Maintain effective communication across project teams to ensure smooth workflows.
Contractual & Compliance Support
*
Ensure client orders, supplier agreements, and subcontractor contracts are accurately logged and stored.
*
Support compliance with contractual obligations, variations, claims, and change control.
*
Issue enquiries, track responses, and assist with negotiations.
*
Support health and safety documentation and quality assurance.
*
Contribute to process improvements and streamlined commercial workflows.
Skills & Competencies

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Solid commercial awareness, including budgeting, cost tracking, and procurement.
