Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Somerset £28,000–£35,000 + Car Allowance Permanent An established contractor, based in Somerset is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a permanent opportunity, and they are open to considering both an experienced AQS with around 2 years’ experience or a Graduate looking to develop their commercial career. The role: * Supporting the commercial management of groundworks and associated civil engineering projects * Assisting with valuations, cost reporting and cash-flow forecasting * Working closely with the wider commercial and operational teams * Site visits as required What they're looking for: * AQS with circa 2 years’ experience or a Graduate looking to start a career in Quantity Surveying * Construction experience from any sector considered – groundworks/civils experience is not essential * Good understanding of valuations and commercial processes * Bluebeam experience would be advantageous * Good Excel and winder MS applications a must * Strong communication skills and a proactive approach Salary & benefits: * Experienced AQS: up to £35,000 * Graduate: circa £28,000 * Car allowance * Business mileage paid * Excellent annual leave allowance * Permanent position * Immediate start available for the right person This would suit someone looking to join a supportive, hands-on team where they can develop and take on increasing commercial responsibility.
