This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a growing electrical division operating across South Wales and the wider UK.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage electrical projects at a technical and commercial level, working closely with site teams and clients.
  • Assist in delivering projects from estimation through to completion, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Support the management of health and safety requirements, including preparation of risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
  • Coordinate operatives and subcontractors, ensuring installations comply with drawings, specifications and relevant standards.
  • Assist with the procurement of plant and materials within project budgets while ensuring specification compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and remain up to date with any changes to procedures.
  • Monitor quality of installation using internal QA processes to record and track progress.
  • Monitor and report on site progress and attend site meetings with clients and project teams.
  • Support commissioning and handover processes and work closely with the Quantity Surveyor to monitor project finances.

  • Enthusiastic and able to work effectively within a project delivery team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with colleagues, subcontractors and clients.
  • Hard working with a high level of IT literacy, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong time keeping and organisational abilities.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical building services systems and installation methods.

Entry Requirements

  • Experience in an Electrical Building Services Project Engineer or similar role on commercial new build and refurbishment projects.
  • HNC, HND or Degree in Building Services, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a wider project team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence.

Typical Working Week

The contract is based on 40 hours per week, working 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm on Friday. Occasional weekend work or overtime may be required. Projects are located across the UK, not solely in South Wales, so candidates must be willing to support projects that may require overnight stays.
