We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with residential groundworks and/or civil engineering experience to join a successful, long-standing regional Subâcontractor to manage their residential sites across Dorset, North Somerset & Bristol. With an expansion phase in full swing and a large client base of repeat business this is a great time to join and enhance your career.
Responsibilities
- You will be tasked with the overall management of designated sites, to ensure and maintain on site health and safety, ensuring compliance and standards are always met.
- Managing site teams, direct labour and subcontractors.
- Ensuring all plant and materials are fit for purpose.
- All PPE and on site HSE are in place.
- Ensure both short- and long-term programmes and planning is in place to deliver sites on time.
- Work and liaise with internal and external Health and Safety consultants, advisors and auditors, ensuring all duties and responsibilities are followed.
- Regular liaison with the client on progress and attending meetings when required.
- Ensure timely delivery of sites, ensuring budgets are met / adhered to.
- Regular liaison with both commercial and technical teams.
- Source and recruit site teams, labour, ensuring onâgoing training and HR matters are overseen and actioned.
Requirements
- Experience at Contract Manager level within residential groundworks.
- Sound knowledge and work ability of programming and planning.
- Have a good level of health and safety management, RAMS and COSHH - must hold a relevant SMSTS ticket.
- Commercial and financial understanding.
- Full Driving License as sites will be across Bristol, Dorset & North Somerset.
Salary is dependent on experience but is in the region of ÂŁ80,000-ÂŁ90,000 + Company Vehicle or Car allowance.
