We are recruiting for a Setting Out Engineer to join a well-established civil engineering and construction contractor on a major project in Bridgwater. The scheme includes significant civils, groundworks and RC frame elements, offering a long-term contract with 6 months of work remaining.

The Role
As the Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Setting out for RC frame, groundworks, drainage and general civils works
- Producing as-built surveys and maintaining QA documentation
- Assisting with site measurements, materials take-offs and progress checks
- Ensuring works are delivered to design, specification and tolerances
- Supporting the site management and engineering teams with technical queries
- Liaising with subcontractors, supervisors and design teams
- Using total stations, GPS and digital surveying equipment
- Reviewing drawings, raising RFIs and ensuring accurate site records
Requirements
- Valid CSCS card β essential
- Experience in setting out, particularly on civils and/or RC frame projects
- Proficient with total stations, GPS and surveying tools (own kit beneficial but not essential)
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction processes
- Ability to produce accurate site records, as-builts and QA documentation
- Able to start immediately
