Our client is seeking a skilled Contracts Manager with experience in roofing and façade envelope packages to oversee all aspects of contract negotiation, management, and implementation. You will ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high-quality standard while adhering to company procedures and objectives. The role includes financial oversight of contracts, from cost management and valuations to invoicing and debtor queries.
Responsibilities
- Manage new roofing and façade contracts profitably, ensuring compliance with specifications, health & safety, and quality standards.
- Plan contracts, including material orders, plant scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and labour management.
- Monitor on-site labour and material use to ensure timely delivery and maximise profit.
- Ensure correct material quantities are allocated and installed in line with manufacturer specifications.
- Document and manage additional works or variations in line with finance procedures.
- Attend pre-start meetings with the sales team to review systems, potential constraints, and project planning.
- Set achievable productivity targets and monitor performance.
- Produce checklists, status reports, and maintain project records with progress photos.
- Liaise with clients to provide project updates, propose improvements, and ensure satisfaction.
- Manage snagging processes to ensure completion prior to handover.
- Support business development by noting potential leads for the sales team.
- Lead and mentor supervisors and foremen, fostering strong communication and team development.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and analytical abilities.
- Technical expertise in roofing, façade envelope works, and contract/project management.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple sites, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in coaching and influencing staff at all levels.

- Understanding of financial management, cost control, forecasting, and value reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Full UK driving licence.
- SMSTS, CSCS, 1st Aid, Working at Height, Hot Works, CISRS, FASET, Asbestos Awareness (training can be provided).
