The Opportunity We are recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager to join a major external refurbishment and cladding project in Bristol city centre. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale scheme delivering façade improvements, external remediation works, and cladding packages on a prominent development. The role is with a well-established specialist contractor operating across refurbishment, energy efficiency, façade, cladding, and property improvement sectors throughout the UK. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality external works projects across residential, commercial, and public sector environments, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and sustainability. The Role As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the project, helping coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress, maintain health and safety standards, and ensure works are delivered in line with programme requirements. This role will suit someone looking to further develop their management experience within externals, cladding, façade remediation, and refurbishment projects. Key Responsibilities Supporting the management of day-to-day site activities Assisting with coordination of subcontractors and labour on site Monitoring progress against programme and reporting updates Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained throughout works Supporting quality inspections and snagging processes Assisting with site logistics and material coordination Liaising with residents, stakeholders, and project teams where required Maintaining site records, RAMS, and documentation Requirements Previous experience within construction site supervision or assistant site management Experience within cladding, externals, refurbishment, or façade projects would be advantageous Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to work within busy city centre project environments Positive and proactive attitude with willingness to learn and progress Essential requirements include: SSSTS or SMSTS CSCS Card First Aid at Work What’s on Offer 10-month contract on a major Bristol city centre scheme Competitive day rate Long-term opportunity with a respected specialist contractor Immediate start available Strong pipeline of future work for the right candidate
