Sphere Solutions is recruiting on behalf of an established building, fit‑out, and refurbishment contractor specialising in high‑technology, high‑specification projects across the Swindon and Oxford region. We are seeking an experienced Architect to join the design and delivery team, working on complex fit‑out, refurbishment, and high‑tech building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts, detailed drawings, and technical specifications for fit‑out and refurbishment projects
- Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure designs meet project requirements
- Produce architectural documentation for tendering, planning approvals, and construction
- Conduct site visits to monitor design implementation and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
- Advise on materials, finishes, and innovative solutions to meet client brief and budget
- Ensure designs comply with building regulations, planning, and Health & Safety standards
Skills & Experience Required
- Qualified Architect (RIBA Part III) with proven experience in fit‑out, refurbishment, or high‑spec building projects
- Strong technical knowledge of architectural design, construction methods, and detailing
- Experience preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and BIM models
- Excellent client liaison and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of building regulations, CDM, and Health & Safety requirements
