Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Bristol office, with projects across Somerset / Bristol.

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading residential developer, working on a portfolio of mixed tenure housing schemes ranging from 80 to 350 units. Projects include a blend of private sale and housing association developments, with a mix of housing and apartment blocks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management of residential developments from pre‑construction through to completion
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost plans, ensuring financial targets are achieved
• Administer and negotiate contracts, with a strong focus on JCT contracts
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, housing associations, and key stakeholders
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance
• Provide accurate reporting to senior management and contribute to project strategy

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential construction sector
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple schemes simultaneously
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills
• Solid understanding of JCT contracts
• Background in PLC housebuilding or regional developer environments welcomed, but not essential
