- An established and highly respected civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint a
Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of highways and civil engineering projects across Bristol, North Somerset and Somerset.
With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects, the business works across highways, bridges, utilities, rail and major civil engineering schemes.
They are committed to delivering projects safely, sustainably and collaboratively while investing in their people and the communities they serve.
The Role
This is a site-based commercial role where you'll work closely with operational teams to manage the financial performance of multiple projects.
You'll play a key role in ensuring commercial success from procurement through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and submission of monthly client applications, site measurements and cash flow forecasting.
- Management and pricing of Compensation Events and commercial change.
- Cost management, including monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
- Procurement of materials and subcontract packages.
- Administration and management of subcontract accounts.
- Supporting commercial reporting, forecasting and project performance.
- Working collaboratively with site teams to maximise project value and minimise commercial risk.
About You
- Minimum
4–5 years' Quantity Surveying experience within highways or civil engineering.
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts, including Compensation Events.
- Experience managing subcontractors, procurement and cost reporting.
- Commercially astute with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to work on site across the region.
