A leading, privately-owned civil engineering and earthworks contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team in the South West. With over 50 years of industry experience, the business delivers a wide range of infrastructure projects across England, typically valued from £100k to £60m, for both public and private sector clients.
The company has built a strong reputation for delivering complex earthworks, highways, drainage, and infrastructure schemes, supported by in-house plant, modern technology, and a collaborative delivery approach.
The Role
- Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the Bristol, Bath, and Somerset region.
- Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion.
- Lead site teams and coordinate subcontractors and supply chain partners.
- Ensure delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Drive innovation, efficiency, and best practice across projects.
About You
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering or infrastructure.
- Strong background in earthworks, highways, or large-scale infrastructure schemes.
- Commercially aware with experience managing project budgets and risk.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver under pressure.
- Relevant qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or similar preferred).
