About the Role
Are you passionate about health and safety and ready to play a key role in ensuring a safe, compliant, and forward-thinking working environment across one of the UK’s most unique and high-security defence estates?
In this pivotal role, you’ll help ensure that all maintenance and project activities are delivered in line with the highest safety and environmental standards.
You’ll provide expert support across planned preventative maintenance, reactive works, and projects—ensuring legal compliance, championing a Zero Harm culture, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor for all health, safety, fire safety, and environmental matters
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Support accident investigations and incident reporting
- Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and training to promote safe working practices
- Help translate policies into practical guidance for site teams.
- Support sustainability and environmental initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience within construction or maintenance environments.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Confident in engaging with different stakeholders and challenging non-compliance.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to tailor advice and training to suit varied audiences.
- Professional qualifications desirable (NEBOSH, IOSH, SMSTS, SSSTS), but not essential.
Please note:
Due to the nature of the site, candidates must be British Nationals, aged 18 or over, able to obtain SC Clearance, and hold a full UK driving licence.
