We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading residential developer, working on a portfolio of mixed tenure housing schemes ranging from 80 to 350 units. Projects include a blend of private sale and housing association developments, with a mix of housing and apartment blocks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial management of residential developments from pre‑construction through to completion
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost plans, ensuring financial targets are achieved
- Administer and negotiate contracts, with a strong focus on JCT contracts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, housing associations, and key stakeholders
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance
- Provide accurate reporting to senior management and contribute to project strategy
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential construction sector
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple schemes simultaneously
- Excellent client and stakeholder management skills
- Solid understanding of JCT contracts
- Background in PLC housebuilding or regional developer environments welcomed, but not essential
