A leading UK Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Building Services Engineer to join its delivery team on a major advanced manufacturing programme. This is a high‑profile, multi‑year scheme involving complex MEP systems, fast‑paced delivery, and significant technical interfaces across construction, commissioning and specialist supply chain partners.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, coordinated and efficient delivery of building services packages across the project.
The Role
As Building Services Engineer, you will support the management, coordination and technical assurance of MEP works throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the delivery of mechanical, electrical and public health systems across allocated areas
- Coordinating design information, technical queries and interface requirements
- Supporting installation quality, compliance and commissioning readiness
- Working closely with project managers, design teams and specialist subcontractors
- Monitoring progress, identifying risks and contributing to mitigation strategies
- Ensuring all works align with programme, quality standards and safety requirements
- Supporting testing, commissioning and handover activities
- Contributing to continuous improvement and best‑practice implementation across the project
About You
We are keen to speak with Building Services Engineers who bring:
- Experience delivering MEP packages on complex construction or industrial projects
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Background working with Tier 1 contractors or major project environments
- Excellent coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage interfaces between design, installation and commissioning teams
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with strong attention to detail
- Experience on large‑scale industrial, manufacturing, data centre or mission‑critical schemes is highly advantageous
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering (HNC/HND/Degree) are preferred.
