Our client seeks a dynamic and driven Credit Risk Manager to join the expanding Risk Team. Duties/Responsibilities

- Ensure full understanding and application of Consumer Duty policies and procedures, working closely with team members to achieve and maintain high standards.
- Credit Decisioning: Develop and refine credit decisioning and risk management frameworks essential for business growth and expansion initiatives.
- Credit Risk Strategy: Define and implement comprehensive credit risk strategies aligned with the company's Risk Appetite, ensuring a balance between maximising credit access and mitigating potential risks.
- Implementation: Manage the credit approval process, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance with approval committee terms.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee portfolio performance, identifying early indicators and external market factors that may affect credit risk.
- Margin Call Management: Design and implement automated intra-day and inter-day margin call processes, working closely with Account Managers to address shortfalls.
- Collections Strategies: Develop and enhance collections strategies, balancing customer experience with portfolio returns in partnership with operational teams.
- Risk Analysis: Collaborate across finance, legal, and commercial functions to align credit risk strategies with business objectives.
- Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure strategic goals are met while managing credit risk.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Risk Committee, offering insights into portfolio performance, potential risks, and mitigation plans.
- Contribute to various team projects outside of Credit Risk to support the overall growth of the Risk Team.
Qualification & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience managing credit risk policies within FX or payments firms.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in policy development and credit portfolio management.
- Strong knowledge of payment and FX firms and their operational frameworks is essential.
- Proficiency in data architecture and technologies essential to credit risk management.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a practical, solution-focused approach.
- Strong stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
