This is an excellent opportunity for a disputes lawyer who is interested in combining high-quality legal work with innovation, legal technology and modern legal operations. Our client is continuing to expand its specialist legal operations and innovation team and is looking to recruit a Solicitor to join its growing Disputes function in Belfast.
The successful candidate will work on large-scale contentious matters within a highly collaborative, international legal environment that is investing heavily in technology, AI and new ways of delivering legal services. This role would suit a commercially minded disputes lawyer who enjoys complex, document-heavy work and is keen to be part of a forward-thinking legal team shaping the future of legal service delivery.
The OpportunityWorking alongside experienced disputes lawyers and legal operations professionals, you'll support the delivery of large and complex contentious matters for major clients across a range of sectors. You'll gain exposure to innovative legal processes, legal technology platforms and AI-enabled tools, while continuing to build your technical disputes experience within a supportive and progressive environment. The role also offers the opportunity to collaborate with international teams and, where appropriate, support cross-office projects and initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing- Conducting document review, due diligence and disputes-related fee-earning work
- Supporting large-scale investigations and contentious matters
- Undertaking quality control work and ensuring consistently high standards
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members where appropriate
- Collaborating with legal teams across international offices
- Working with legal technology and AI-enabled tools to support efficient legal delivery
- Managing matters in line with agreed financial and operational processes
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of disputes and litigation developments
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (within a common law jurisdiction)
- At least 1 year PQE, some of which will include disputes/litigation experience
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Experience handling document-heavy legal work
- An interest in legal innovation, AI and emerging technologies
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within fast-paced project environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience gained within a commercial law firm environment
- Exposure to large-scale document review or investigations work
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior legal professionals
- Project management experience within disputes matters
