Are you an experienced defendant litigation lawyer looking for a leadership role? Our client, a highly regarded firm, is seeking an experienced Lawyer to take charge of their Counter-Fraud team and oversee a caseload of High Court cases. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a technical leadership role, managing a small team while working on high-value, complex cases.
The Role
This position offers the chance to lead and develop a client-focused team, ensuring technical excellence in handling fraud, liability, and High Court litigation cases. Youll also play a key role in growing the Counter-Fraud team, working closely with both existing and new clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of High Court litigation, including fraud and liability claims
- Overseeing the Counter-Fraud team, ensuring robust technical strategies are applied
- Supervising and mentoring a team of lawyers and assistants
- Building strong relationships with insurers and high-profile clients
- Driving business development to grow the firm's fraud litigation practice
- Reviewing and enhancing case strategies to achieve the best client outcomes
- Providing technical training, peer reviews, and performance feedback
- Ensuring compliance with LSNI regulations
What You Need
- Qualified Solicitor with an agreed handling authority of at least six figures
- Proven leadership & supervision experience
- Strong technical expertise in fraud, indemnity & liability litigation
- Experience in client management & business development
- Excellent advocacy, negotiation & communication skills
- Ability to develop team members' technical skills & performance
- Experience of trend analysis & strategic case handling
