My client is a fast-growing ecommerce business focused on delivering an exceptional online customer experience. As part of an exciting period of growth, they are looking for an experienced Website Manager to oversee and optimise their ecommerce website and customer journey.

The Role

My client is seeking a proactive and commercially minded Website Manager on a 3-month contract basis to take ownership of the day-to-day management and performance of their ecommerce website. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving the online customer experience, supporting trading performance, and ensuring the website is engaging, high performing, and customer focused. This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced ecommerce environment and can quickly make an impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the ecommerce website, ensuring all content, campaigns, and product updates are accurate and delivered on time
  • Oversee the online customer journey and identify opportunities to improve UX, engagement, and conversion
  • Coordinate homepage updates, launches, promotional activity, and merchandising
  • Monitor website performance and customer behaviour using analytics tools
  • Work closely with marketing, creative, ecommerce, and customer service teams
  • Identify and troubleshoot website issues to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Support conversion rate optimisation initiatives and ongoing site improvements
  • Liaise with developers or external agencies where required
  • Ensure the website remains mobile optimised and aligned with ecommerce best practices

About You

  • Proven experience managing ecommerce websites
  • Strong understanding of customer experience, ecommerce trading, and website optimisation
  • Experience with platforms such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or similar
  • Comfortable using Google Analytics and reporting tools
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and hit the ground running
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
