A Management Accountant is required to work for a retail business based in South West London (4 days in the office). This role is working in a dynamic team and will be supporting the Finance Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts including a range of journal entries.
- Review of the monthly results and variance analysis vs KPIs and budget.
- Assist with preparation of internal reports and finance analysis.
- Manage reconciliation of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis ensuring high quality supporting evidence.
- Assist in preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Being involved in a collaborative and supportive team environment, ensuring good internal communication.
- Line management of one Assistant Management Accountant.
- Ad hoc duties.
Skill set required:
- The successful candidate will have 3+ years finance experience, with at least 1 year of owning month-end processes.
- Prior experience in a retailer or multi-site business is beneficial but not essential.
- You must possess strong communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative.
