The Role: We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a contractor based in Plymouth, delivering a heavy industrial / steel frame construction project. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure site environment, requiring a strong leader who can manage site operations effectively while maintaining safety, quality, and programme targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations on a busy construction project
- Manage subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely and to programme
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and site compliance, including CDMs
- Monitor progress, quality, and productivity across the project
- Ensure all procedures and site processes are followed correctly
- Work closely with the wider project team to deliver on key milestones
Requirements & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on industrial or steel frame projects
- SMSTS certification
- CSCS card
- First Aid at Work
- Temporary Works (advantageous)
- Strong IT skills and ability to manage site systems and reporting
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
