We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a project in Plymouth on an 18-month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a key scheme, overseeing works and ensuring delivery to a high standard.
The Role: As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and in line with design specifications. You will play a key role in coordinating multiple contractors and maintaining strong communication across all parties involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee site activities on a daily basis
- Coordinate and liaise with multiple contractors and stakeholders
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with design drawings and specifications
- Maintain high standards of health & safety across site
- Monitor progress and ensure deadlines are met
- Report regularly on site performance and progress
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within Groundworks, Civil Engineering, or Steel Frame projects
- Strong ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Experience working for a main contractor or directly for a client is highly desirable
- SMSTS (essential)
- First Aid at Work (essential)
