About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the News Agenda
- Set, lead, and align the daily, weekly, and fortnightly news agenda across print and digital platforms.
- Manage weekly news meetings and coordinate reporting assignments.
- Plan and oversee yearly editorial calendars, monthly news specials, and off-diary investigative coverage.
- Produce Outstanding News Content
- Break exclusive news stories online and in print that make an impact.
- Deliver accurate, on-time copy tailored for both print and digital audiences.
- Produce analysis pieces and develop online-first strategies to grow digital readership.
- Upload and optimise content for digital platforms, promoting it through social media.
- Build and Maintain Relationships
- Develop and maintain a strong network of retailers, suppliers, wholesalers, trade groups, publishers, and industry experts.
- Collaborate with reporters to generate concise, high-quality content.
- Engage with readers, clients, and industry stakeholders via social media.
- Support the Wider Team
- Work closely with insight, features, design, production, marketing, and commercial teams.
- Provide editorial input to support sales, campaigns, and brand initiatives.
- Attend and deliver editorial from industry events across the UK and Ireland.

- Proven track record of sourcing and writing exclusive, accurate, and audience-relevant news.
- Strong understanding of media law, ethics, and responsible data analysis.
