About the Role
We're partnering with a high-growth, award-winning global media agency to recruit a Director, Client Planning.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead strategic client partnerships for some of the world's most recognised brands, owning integrated media strategy, commercial growth and cross-functional delivery across multiple media disciplines.
Acting as the primary strategic advisor to your clients, you'll bring together specialists across Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, SEO, Data and Analytics to deliver innovative, performance-led media solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
Working closely with senior client stakeholders and internal practice leads, you'll shape long-term media strategy, champion innovation and testing, and play a key role in growing both client partnerships and agency revenue within a fast-paced, technology-led environment.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Lead day-to-day strategic relationships with senior client stakeholders, becoming their trusted media advisor.
- Own annual and quarterly integrated media plans, allocating budgets across channels based on data, performance and commercial objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Paid Media, Programmatic, SEO, Analytics and Strategy to deliver best-in‑class client outcomes.
- Drive overall account performance, ensuring campaigns achieve client KPIs and commercial objectives.
- Translate business challenges into integrated media strategies that deliver measurable growth.
- Lead innovation, experimentation and testing programmes across client accounts.
- Ensure exceptional client service and seamless collaboration across specialist teams.
- Manage account scope, resource planning and commercial performance to maximise profitability.
- Support new business pitches, strategic presentations and organic account growth opportunities.
- Champion the agency's technology, data and AI‑driven approach to media planning and optimisation.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years' experience delivering integrated media solutions within a full-service media agency.
- Experience in a Client Director, Business Director, Planning Director, Group Account Director or similar client leadership role.
- Proven success managing senior client relationships and influencing Director and C‑suite stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of integrated media planning across digital and offline channels.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple media disciplines.
- Commercially minded with experience growing client revenue, identifying opportunities and supporting new business pitches.
- Excellent presentation, storytelling and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate performance data into strategic recommendations.
- Passion for innovation, experimentation and emerging media technologies, including AI.
- Highly organised, collaborative and comfortable managing multiple priorities within a fast‑paced agency environment.
