Job Description Freelance Social Account Director We're looking for an experienced Freelance Social Account Director to support a busy agency team across a range of social-first and integrated client accounts. This role would suit someone who is confident leading client relationships, overseeing social strategy and delivery, and managing teams across fast-paced campaigns and always-on content. Lead day-to-day client relationships across social accounts Oversee social content planning, production and delivery across key platforms Work closely with strategy, creative, influencer, production and paid social teams Manage and mentor Account Managers, Executives and wider account teams Oversee content calendars, community activity and approval processes Ensure work is delivered on time, within budget and to a high creative standard Identify opportunities to grow accounts and expand scopes of work Support reporting, campaign evaluation and optimisation recommendations Support new business and pitch work where required Strong experience within social media, digital or integrated marketing, ideally within an agency environment Proven experience operating at Account Director level or equivalent Experience managing large or complex client accounts Strong understanding of major social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook and emerging channels Experience overseeing social strategy, content production and campaign delivery Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and scopes Experience leading and developing account teams Comfortable working across multiple projects and priorities at pace You'll be a confident, commercially minded social specialist who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on account leadership. You should be comfortable challenging clients, guiding teams and keeping complex social campaigns moving while protecting the quality of the work.
