Site Agent – Infrastructure / Earthworks
Salary: Competitive + Package We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a major infrastructure scheme in Didcot, working for a well-established main contractor.
This is a key site-based role with a particular focus on earthworks and civil engineering, overseeing the day-to-day delivery of works and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and resources.
The Role
- Take responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of earthworks and associated civil engineering activities.
- Manage site operations, ensuring works are delivered to programme, budget and required quality standards.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant, materials and resources.
- Monitor progress and productivity, identifying and addressing any issues that could impact the programme.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Review RAMS, permits, inspection records and other project documentation.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives.
- Maintain accurate site records and provide regular progress updates.
- Assist with planning, sequencing and short-term programming of works.
About You
- Previous experience as a Site Agent / Sub Agent on civil engineering or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience within earthworks is essential.
- Good understanding of site operations, construction methodology and sequencing.
- Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety and quality requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
- CSCS, SMSTS and relevant site qualifications.
