  • Freelance PR Account Director - Consumer Technology
  • We're looking for an experienced

PR Account Director to join a busy consumer technology account, supporting both always-on press office activity and upcoming campaigns/projects .

The role will sit across consumer and corporate communications , with a strong focus on the UK market.

You'll be working within a fast-paced press office handling a high volume of inbound media enquiries, alongside proactive media relations and campaign delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Running a busy always-on UK press office , managing proactive and reactive media enquiries.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with

UK journalists and media .

  • Placing interviews, writing briefs and briefing senior spokespeople/talent .
  • Leading PR campaigns and projects while remaining hands-on with day-to-day delivery .
  • Managing and reviewing junior team members' work.
  • Working collaboratively across consumer, corporate and wider communications teams.
  • Supporting communications around consumer technology, digital platforms and emerging technology/AI .

Ideal experience

  • Around

8+ years' PR experience , ideally with a strong agency background.

  • Strong blend of

UK consumer and corporate PR experience.

  • Proven experience running high-volume, always-on press offices .
  • Excellent UK media relationships and strong knowledge of the current media landscape.
  • Strong writing, media relations and reactive communications skills.

Consumer technology experience and/or a genuine interest in technology and AI.

  • Comfortable operating at hands-on Account Director level and working at pace.

Contract

Initial 2-month freelance contract, with strong potential to extend.
