An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced SHEQ Advisor to join a growing infrastructure and civil engineering contractor delivering projects across the water, utilities and infrastructure sectors. This role will support operational teams across multiple projects, ensuring the highest standards of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality compliance are maintained throughout project delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a positive SHEQ culture, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with industry legislation and best practice.

The Role

As SHEQ Advisor, you will work closely with site teams, management and subcontractors to provide practical SHEQ guidance and support across a range of live infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on role requiring regular site visits and proactive engagement with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide SHEQ support and guidance across multiple civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, UK legislation and industry best practice.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
  • Support and lead investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
