Working alongside experienced operational and commercial teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably and to the highest standards. The Role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for one or more major civil engineering projects from contract award through to final account.
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and the wider commercial team, you'll oversee all aspects of commercial management, ensuring projects achieve their financial objectives while maintaining strong client and supply chain relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of major civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts and monthly cost reporting.
- Administer NEC contracts, managing compensation events, change control and contractual notices.
- Prepare applications for payment, valuations and final accounts.
- Procure subcontract packages and manage subcontractor accounts through to agreement.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Support project teams with commercial advice throughout delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
- Mentor and support junior commercial staff where appropriate.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the commercial function.
