We are partnered with a fast-growing AI company building a highly secure Generative AI platform for the financial services sector. By combining LLMs, agentic AI and intelligent automation, they are helping some of the world's leading financial institutions unlock efficiency, improve decision-making and reduce risk.
As they continue to scale, they are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help build and evolve the backend systems that power their AI platform. You will work on scalable APIs, distributed systems, asynchronous workflows and real-time services, helping to deliver production-grade AI capabilities into enterprise environments. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will work closely with product and engineering teams, influence technical direction and contribute to building software used by global financial organisations.
- Building and scaling backend services using TypeScript, Node.js and NestJS
- Designing and maintaining APIs, data models and distributed systems
- Working with PostgreSQL and multi-tenant SaaS architectures
- Building event-driven workflows and asynchronous processing pipelines
- Supporting AI-powered product capabilities and backend integrations
- Mentoring engineers and helping drive a strong engineering culture
Strong commercial experience with TypeScript and Node.js
