A successful independent agency is looking for an experienced Paid Search Account Director to join the team on a fixed term mat cover contract until the end of June 2027. You will take ownership of paid search activity for a flagship ecommerce account that the agency has helped scale from five figures to seven figures in monthly revenue through search.
The Role
You will lead the paid search strategy and end to end campaign management for a key ecommerce client, acting as the main point of contact for all search activity across the account. This is a hands on and strategic role covering account direction, campaign setup, optimisation, reporting and senior client communication. The agency is looking for someone with strong Google Shopping and product feed experience who can take ownership of performance and continue driving growth.
Responsibilities
- Leading the paid search strategy for a flagship ecommerce account
- Managing campaigns from planning and setup through to optimisation and reporting
- Leading Google Shopping and Performance Max activity
- Managing and optimising product feeds to improve campaign performance
- Acting as the senior point of contact for all paid search activity
- Building strong client relationships and presenting strategic recommendations
- Monitoring budgets, pacing, revenue and return on advertising spend
- Identifying opportunities to scale performance and improve efficiency
- Developing testing roadmaps across bidding, campaign structure, audiences and creative assets
- Producing clear performance reports and translating data into actionable insights
- Working closely with internal account management, strategy and creative teams
Skills & Experience
- Strong paid search experience within an agency environment
- Previous experience operating at Account Director level or in a senior client facing role
- Extensive experience managing ecommerce and direct response campaigns
- Strong Google Shopping and product feed management experience
- Confident managing campaigns across Google Ads, including Shopping and Performance Max
- Experience managing large scale ecommerce budgets and ambitious revenue targets
- Strong understanding of campaign tracking, attribution and performance reporting
- Comfortable leading client relationships and acting as the senior search contact
- Able to balance strategic account leadership with hands on campaign management
- Available to start at the end of July or beginning of August
- Able to attend the Central London office two days per week, with some flexibility
