An exciting opportunity with a global organisation in London is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their UK Finance team on a contract basis.
Contract Details
- Based in London
- 4 days a week in the office
- 6 months initially
- Start date: 11 May 2026
- Up to £400 pd Inside Ir35
Responsibilities
- Supporting the annual external audit and liaising with auditors
- Leading the preparation of UK statutory accounts and Group consolidated financial statements
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal finance policies
- Preparing and reviewing monthly reports, including variance analysis
- Supporting month end close and reporting activities
- Reviewing balance sheets, cashflows and bank reconciliations
- Preparing tax computations and working with external tax advisors
- Acting as a key link between Controlling, FP&A and wider business stakeholders
- Responding to ad hoc finance queries and delivering timely analysis
- Supporting internal controls and finance governance
- Assisting with ad hoc projects, system implementations and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- At least 3 years post qualification experience
- Big 4 background preferred
- Strong experience preparing or auditing statutory financial statements
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
- Confident using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
- Comfortable working independently, under pressure and to deadlines
