We are partnering with a leading global agency network seeking a Communications Planning Manager to play a key role within the comms planning team. This position will focus on delivering insight-led, audience-first communications strategies that drive effective, integrated campaigns across a range of clients.
This role is ideal for an experienced communications planner looking to step into a Manager-level position, combining strategic thinking with hands-on planning delivery. You will be responsible for shaping communications strategies, defining channel roles, and ensuring campaigns are built around clear audience and business objectives.
You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver best-in-class planning output, ensuring alignment between strategy, activation, and measurement.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the development of communications strategies grounded in audience insight and behaviour
- Defining the role of channels across the consumer journey (paid, owned, earned)
- Building integrated, cross-channel plans across digital, social, and offline media
- Using data and research to inform planning decisions and identify growth opportunities
- Translating insights into clear, compelling strategic recommendations
- Collaborating with activation, investment, and analytics teams to ensure effective delivery
- Working closely with creative and partner agencies to align comms strategy with execution
- Supporting the development of measurement frameworks and campaign effectiveness tracking
- Monitoring performance and identifying optimisation opportunities
- Presenting plans and strategic thinking to stakeholders with clarity and confidence
- Contributing to best practices, tools, and ways of working within the planning team
You – Skills & Experience:
- 3–5+ years’ experience in communications planning, media planning, or strategy within an agency environment
- Strong understanding of full-funnel communications planning and channel roles
- Experience working across multiple media channels (digital, social, offline)
- Ability to turn data and insight into clear strategic recommendations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confident presenter with the ability to engage stakeholders
- Experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
- Collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail
- Commercial awareness and understanding of campaign effectiveness metrics
- Proactive, curious, and solutions-oriented
