A global agency is looking for a Comms Planning Account Director to join on a 2 month contract, with a strong chance of extension. This is suited to a career contractor who can hit the ground running across above the line and below the line planning, performance analysis, and day to day client leadership.

The Role

You will lead comms planning across key accounts, shaping channel strategy, building integrated plans, and turning data into clear recommendations. You will work closely with strategy, activation, and investment teams, ensuring plans are insight led, deliverable, and measurable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Owning media comms plans across above the line and below the line channels.
  • Leading client planning conversations, translating briefs into clear, actionable approach and channel roles.
  • Building budget allocations, phasing, and audience targeting recommendations.
  • Partnering with activation and investment teams to ensure smooth handover and delivery.
  • Developing measurement frameworks, interpreting results, and optimising plans based on performance.
  • Producing clear planning narratives, presentations, and post campaign analysis.

You, Skills and Experience:

  • Strong comms planning background at Account Director level, agency side.
  • Confident working across above the line and below the line, including integrated channel planning.
  • Comfortable with performance reporting, insights, and analysis, turning numbers into decisions.
  • Solid stakeholder management, able to lead client conversations and manage expectations.
  • Fast starter, pragmatic, and used to delivering at pace in a busy agency environment.
  • UK contract experience helpful, comfortable operating in a hybrid setup.

Contract and rate: 2 months initially, may have opportunity to extend.
