Contract Length: 6‑month contract
Day Rate: £550‑£600 per day
Working Model: Hybrid – 2 days remote, 3 days in the client’s London Zone 1 office

Overview
A leading retail client is seeking a Business Analyst to support the end‑to‑end implementation of a Product Information Management (PIM) solution. The BA will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, IT teams, data stewards, and the PIM vendor to ensure the system is effectively designed, configured and adopted to meet business requirements for product data management, enrichment, governance and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the PIM solution meets business needs for managing product data throughout the product lifecycle.
- Define and validate business requirements, workflows, data models and governance processes.
- Facilitate alignment between business stakeholders and technical implementation teams.
- Support successful adoption through training, documentation and post‑launch optimisation.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops and discovery sessions.
- Document current‑state product data processes, pain points and system landscape.
- Define future‑state workflows for product onboarding, data enrichment, approval and publishing.
- Develop detailed business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and process flows.
- Collaborate with data stewards to define product taxonomy, categories, attributes and relationships.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for system configuration.
- Partner with solution architects and the PIM vendor on solution design.
- Review and validate attribute sets, workflows, roles/permissions and integrations.
- Participate in backlog grooming and sprint planning for agile delivery.
- Document integration requirements between the PIM and other enterprise systems (ERP, eCommerce, DAM, PLM).
- Validate mapping rules, data exchange formats and synchronisation workflows.
- Work with IT teams and vendors to troubleshoot data flow or configuration issues.
- Develop test plans, test cases and acceptance criteria.
- Support system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Validate data accuracy, workflow behaviour and outputs to downstream systems.
- Log, track and assist with defect resolution.
- Create user guides, process documentation and training materials.
- Deliver training sessions for business users, merchandising teams and data teams.
- Support onboarding and change‑management activities to ensure strong user adoption.
- Assist with hyper‑care activities, issue resolution and enhancement requests.
- Gather user feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Help define KPIs for data quality, process efficiency and system usage.

Desired Skills and Experience
- Business analysis experience in a digital or retail environment

- Proficiency in creating user stories, acceptance criteria and test plans
- Effective communication skills for training and documentation
