A leading global FMCG group is looking for a Group Finance Systems Accountant to join its systems team on a 9-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Head of Finance Systems, you will manage the process of consolidating subsidiary data into the group's financial results from a systems standpoint.
It comes at a pivotal time, due to business change and IFRS 18 implementation both feeding into the group's reporting systems.
The Role
Prepare the consolidation system for both period-end reporting and budget/forecast cycles
Ensure the completeness and validity of reporting entity submissions into the system
Support the development and testing of complex reporting spreadsheets used to capture entity data for upload into IBM Cognos Controller
Assist with the planning, testing and implementation of technical upgrades to reporting and consolidation systems
Work with the Group Finance Systems team to identify and implement system and process improvements
Support the maintenance of the systems chart of accounts and company structures
About You
Previous experience with consolidation software
Sound knowledge of IFRS, consolidation and financial reporting
A proactive approach to improving processes and adding value
Qualified accountant and member of a professional accounting body (desirable)
Experience performing consolidations for a complex business, including multi-currency
Month-end close and wider reporting process experience
