The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of large-scale, complex Operational Risk Management (ORM) initiatives, often within highly regulated environments. This includes end-to-end ownership of projects involving risk frameworks, regulatory compliance, and enterprise transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and deliver complex, multi-stream Operational Risk projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal risk frameworks.
  • Act as the primary client interface, engaging senior stakeholders including Risk, Compliance, and Executive leadership.
  • Drive the full project lifecycle, from initiation through implementation and post-go-live optimisation.
  • Lead risk framework implementations (e.g., RCSA, KRI, Issue Management, Risk Appetite).
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory expectations (e.g., Basel III/IV, SOX, FCA/PRA guidelines where applicable).
  • Identify delivery risks and interdependencies across workstreams and proactively mitigate them.
  • Manage large, cross-functional teams, including business, technology, and third-party vendors.
  • Support business development, identifying opportunities for expansion within client engagements.
  • Contribute to the evolution of delivery methodologies for risk transformation programs.
Project Execution
  • Lead complex enterprise-wide transformation programs, often involving multiple geographies and business units.
  • Define and manage scope across interdependent workstreams.
  • Oversee governance structures, including steering committees and executive reporting.
  • Ensure robust risk and control frameworks are embedded within project delivery.
  • Deliver against tight regulatory deadlines and audit requirements.
  • Track and report on program-level KPIs, risks, and outcomes.
Required Experience
  • Proven experience delivering complex Operational Risk or Regulatory Change programs.
  • Deep understanding of Operational Risk frameworks (RCSA, KRI, controls, incident management).
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries (Financial Services strongly preferred).
  • Strong track record managing large-scale, high-risk, multi-stakeholder programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives and regulators.
  • Certifications: PRINCE2 / PMP (expected). Additional certifications in Risk Management (e.g., CRISC, FRM) are a strong advantage.
