We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytically driven Environmental Compliance Consultant to support clients in meeting complex global environmental regulations, with a particular focus on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements, including WEEE, Packaging, and Batteries.

Job Responsibilities

  • Produce high‑quality compliance reports and provide expert guidance to clients on regulatory obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Conduct in‑depth research into evolving environmental legislation worldwide and liaise with national enforcement agencies across EU Member States and internationally.
  • Manage client registrations and submissions of product, battery, and packaging data to regulators and recycling schemes.
  • Work with Sphera’s EC4P platform to help clients leverage the tool to minimise environmental impact at end‑of‑life.

Qualifications

  • Degree in science, engineering, technology, law, or a related technical discipline (minimum 2:1 or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with excellent report‑writing ability.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong IT skills and willingness to learn new systems and tools.
  • Excellent time management, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative team player who responds well to feedback.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of EPR regulations (WEEE, Packaging, Batteries) is desirable.
