SPG Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced Contract Programme Manager to lead a high profile strategic recovery and transformation programme for a major enterprise technology services organisation.

This assignment will focus on restoring delivery performance, strengthening governance, improving operational effectiveness and embedding a sustainable operating model across a large, complex managed services environment.

Working across multiple business functions, you'll provide programme leadership, governance and coordination to ensure delivery commitments are achieved, risks are proactively managed and executive stakeholders remain aligned throughout the engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme Leadership
  • Lead and coordinate a complex recovery and transformation programme across multiple workstreams.
  • Own and maintain the integrated programme plan, ensuring clear accountability, dependencies and delivery milestones.
  • Drive programme execution through effective governance and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure all activities remain aligned to agreed business objectives and recovery priorities.
  • Governance & Reporting
  • Establish and manage programme governance, including RAID logs, action trackers, decision registers and executive reporting.
  • Chair programme governance meetings and coordinate cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Produce concise executive reporting, progress updates and evidence-based status reporting.
  • Escalate risks, blockers and decisions requiring senior leadership intervention.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Work closely with senior operational leaders, delivery managers, technical teams and executive sponsors.
  • Maintain stakeholder alignment across programme priorities and delivery commitments.
  • Provide clear recommendations supported by accurate programme data and reporting.
  • Delivery Assurance
  • Monitor delivery performance against agreed milestones.
  • Manage dependencies across operational and project delivery teams.
  • Validate delivery evidence and ensure commitments can be clearly demonstrated.
  • Maintain programme momentum and ensure resources remain focused on agreed priorities.

Experience Required

Essential

  • Proven experience leading complex recovery, turnaround, transformation or service improvement programmes.
  • Background within Managed Services, Technology Services, IT Outsourcing or Consultancy environments.
  • Strong programme governance experience including RAID management, executive reporting and delivery assurance.
  • Hands-on PMO discipline with ownership of planning, tracking and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management principles, service governance and operational delivery.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Ability to influence without direct management authority.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within Microsoft technology environments including Microsoft 365 and Azure.
  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as Halo, Connect Wise or similar.
  • Experience managing globally distributed delivery teams.
  • PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, ITIL or equivalent certifications.
